How do engineers and art fit together? Better than many might think! The word "engineering art" even combines both concepts. This refers to the engineers' special skill in developing systems. On the other hand, art stimulates people's imagination. Albert Einstein once aptly said:
Imagination is more important than knowledge, because knowledge is limited.
These words remain timelessly true even today, in the age of artificial intelligence and a nearly completely connected world. Engineers need imagination to develop innovative and ingenious products. Therefore, it's only logical to integrate art into their everyday work.
At an exhibition near Schwabach, we met the artist A. Foster, who reinterprets forms with acrylic painting on canvas. Using small blobs of paint that form small figures, called pointers, she creates 3-dimensional works of art. We liked this so much that we had the artist create our company logo. The result is more than impressive and now brightens up our conference room!

Vincent van Gogh once said:
Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.
That's exactly what we like so much about the image! Small things work much more powerfully together. And so we come full circle back to engineers. Even in technical systems or organizations, many small parts work perfectly together to create something much bigger. In this case, many small pointers (people) form our company logo. This is a great fit, because for us engineers, the focus is always on people, in every detail of a medical device or in our daily work.
