7 reasons why good engineers can cook

Excuse me? Is there supposed to be a connection between performance in the kitchen and working as an engineer? I've been wanting to write about this topic for a while. Today is the day :-). But how did I come up with this? In my professional environment, I repeatedly find engineers who can cook very well. I've discovered that these people are also very good engineers. This leads me to put forward a bold theory. If you're a good engineer, you can also cook well. Of course, such a claim needs to be substantiated. Therefore, I present seven reasons that, in my opinion, can explain this phenomenon.

  1. Good engineers do things with pride and passion.
  2. You enjoy creating special and outstanding things. You're very well-organized in the kitchen.
  3. You have diverse interests and are curious. You enjoy trying things out and experimenting.
  4. They don't give up easily when something goes wrong. The problem is quickly resolved.
  5. They have a lot of confidence in themselves and don’t shy away from complicated dishes.
  6. You enjoy working with your hands but can also follow complicated technical processes.
  7. They have high standards for themselves and for the products they create.

I'd be interested in your opinion on this. Is this just nonsense, or can you confirm my observation? Send me an email or leave a comment. I look forward to hearing from you.

With that in mind, enjoy your meal and bon appetit!
