The VDI Systems Engineering Working Group is hosting its third webinar this year. Following the last topic on FMEA and thus also functional safety, this event will focus on Functional Safety in AI-based Systems.

Artificial intelligence is one of the major new trends in modern software systems. A growing number of companies are attempting to use artificial intelligence to solve seemingly overly complex problems, most recently in safety-relevant systems. Existing safety standards define the state of the art for traditional software development. However, a closer look reveals that the processes and methods required by the standards cannot fulfill the safety purpose of the standards in the context of artificial intelligence.
Christian Lederer and Florian Gabsteiger from Method Park provide a brief introduction to how security concepts from traditional development can be transferred to the new context and which security aspects require completely new approaches.
The event will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 6:00 PM and is, as always, free of charge, but registration via Xing is required.
I'm looking forward to the event and seeing lots of familiar and new faces, as well as a great exchange on this exciting topic.
Best regards
Goran Madzar
