ⓘ This event has already ended.
On November 29, 2018, our third meeting of the VDI Systems Engineering Working Group (AK-SE) took place. The focus of the event this time was "Requirements Engineering." Even in times of agility, this topic resonated strongly, and the event was well attended. We are delighted that all three events this year were very well received, and we are already planning the next events for 2019!
The topics
To kick things off, I gave a short keynote speech on requirements engineering to get everyone in the mood and get everyone up to speed on the topic. Since the participants included both students and requirements engineering professionals with many years of professional experience, it was important to establish a common ground.

Afterwards, there were four sessions in Barcamp format and the topics were determined by voting.
| Room 1 | Room 2 | |
| Slot 1 | Techniques for requirements elicitation | Experience with non-functional requirements and their testing |
| Slot 2 | We don’t need requirements – we are agile! | How do you establish requirements engineering in an organization? |
The split format, with a short keynote speech followed by a bar camp, was very well received by the participants, and we will certainly continue this format, which we have called "hybrid."
The participants
Once again, we were delighted to see both familiar and new faces. With 23 participants, the event was well attended, and our survey revealed a good cross-section of attendees. Participants even came from Würzburg, Regensburg, Munich, and Kassel, which I'm personally very pleased about.

The feedback was again very positive.

What happens next?
We plan to hold the next Systems Engineering workshop in Erlangen on February 28, 2019. Please mark this date in your calendar. We will, of course, provide more detailed information as usual via the blog, our newsletter, Xing, and other channels.
Best regards
