MEDtech IThe engineer is strengthening its leadership team: Daniel Saffer has assumed the role of Chief Technical Officer (CTO) since March 2025. With his extensive experience in developing safety-critical embedded software solutions for medical technology, he will play a key role in the company's technological development.

Embedded software developer with MEDtech roots

Daniel Saffer studied electrical engineering and information technology at Coburg University of Applied Sciences. During his studies, he gained his first practical experience as a student employee at MEDtech Ingenieur, immersing himself in software development for medical technology.

After graduating, he worked as an embedded software engineer at MEDtech Ingenieur, where he contributed to the development of software solutions for medical device products. He was involved in projects related to medical device development, software validation, and regulatory compliance.

Experience in functional safety

In 2021, he moved to Wieland Electric to develop safety-critical control systems. His focus was on functional safety according to IEC 61508 and the design and validation of complex software architectures. He now brings this expertise to his new role at MEDtech Ingenieur.

Back to MEDtech Engineer

With his return as CTO, Daniel Saffer will assume technical leadership at MEDtech Ingenieur. His experience in medical technology and safety-critical software development processes will help further strengthen the company in these areas. In his new role, he will focus on further developing the company's technical capabilities, optimizing internal processes, and supporting the implementation of demanding customer projects.
