Precise EDA measurement in miniature format

Our compact sensor board enables high-resolution measurements of electrodermal activity (EDA) – a direct indicator of emotional and physiological states. Featuring state-of-the-art technology, millisecond data logging, and wireless transmission via Bluetooth, it's ideal for applications in research, healthcare, and wearables. Thanks to EN 60601-1 compliance, it's also suitable for use in medical settings.

Technical data

Our compact measurement electronics combine high precision with an energy-efficient design. They offer 14-bit resolution, millisecond data logging, and wireless connectivity – all packaged in a robust, medically certified format.

Measuring range 2-100 µS
Resolution of 14 bit
Battery operated running time > 48h
EN 60601-1 compliant
Bluetooth low energy interface
Data logging with 1 ms resolution
Log data in CSV format for analysis and further processing
USB station for charging and reading log data

Evaluation of EDA analysis data via app

The associated Android app allows the recorded EDA data to be visualized and analyzed in real time.

Users gain direct insight into trends and changes in skin conductivity – clearly presented and exportable in CSV format. The app supports both live data transmission via Bluetooth and the reading of stored log data. This makes the interpretation of physiological reactions simple, mobile, and flexible.

Advantages of the sensor

High sensitivity and accuracy

The sensor operates with a 14-bit resolution and detects the finest conductivity changes in the range of 2–100 µS – ideal for precise measurements of skin conductivity

Low power consumption

Thanks to energy-efficient electronics and Bluetooth Low Energy, the system achieves an operating time of over 48 hours in continuous operation

Compact design

Measuring just 10 x 10 x 2 mm, the sensor fits easily into wearable devices or discreet medical applications. The housing shown here, measuring 47.9 x 34 x 14 mm, can be worn on the wrist as a wristband, for example.

Android app for data analysis

Measurement data can be visualized in real time via the app and exported in CSV format – ideal for analysis, research and prototyping

Easy integration into portable devices

Thanks to the integrated BLE module and the optional USB interface, the sensor can be easily integrated into existing wearables or mobile systems

References

"As part of a study, I was provided with a prototype of the EDA sensor. The wearable and the associated app proved to be clearly structured and extremely user-friendly. The measurement results were easy to access and presented in a clear, understandable format.

The technical specifications were also impressive: The battery life proved to be reliably long, and the charging process was straightforward. The measured values largely correlated with those of an established EDA measuring device, indicating the prototype's high precision.

The test subjects found wearing the wearable comfortable; the majority were open to using the sensor in everyday life.

Overall, it's a very user-friendly wearable with solid technical performance and valid measurement results that leaves a promising impression."
