Our Production Hub<\/strong> Our operations in Erlangen are growing, and for the second time now. We've significantly expanded our production area once again. What began as a small in-house manufacturing facility next to our development office has now become an integral part of what we offer our customers. Reason enough to take a look back and, of course, forward.<\/p>\n

How a customer inquiry led to a new business area<\/h2>\n

It didn't start with a grand strategy, but with a specific request: A customer asked us to handle the manufacturing of his medical device. He was looking for a partner he could trust, not just a contract manufacturer.<\/p>\n

Initially, we were hesitant. After all, there are already plenty of service providers offering pure manufacturing services. But medical devices are rarely standard products: they are complex, subject to strict regulatory requirements, and especially in the start-up phase, production volumes are often still manageable.<\/p>\n

This is precisely the situation that requires a manufacturing partner with strong technical background<\/strong>, who the Design Transfer<\/strong> carries out the process cleanly and reliably supports the product throughout the entire start-up phase. For the customer, this means a faster time-to-market<\/strong> with the assurance that quality and regulatory compliance are met.<\/p>\n

From individual case to fixed offer<\/h2>\n

This initial project has since grown significantly. More and more customers are utilizing our manufacturing services at the Production Hub \u2013 from design transfer to series production. We are delighted with this development, as it demonstrates that the approach of closely integrating development and manufacturing meets a genuine market need.<\/p>\n

With the growing number of projects, our capacities have also reached their limits. The logical consequence: more space. We have now expanded our production facilities for the second time, roughly doubling the area. More products simply require more space for machines, processes, and the people who operate them.<\/p>\n

And we are far from finished: We already have further projects in the pipeline that we are very excited about.<\/p>\n

Why in-house production in medical technology matters right now<\/h2>\n

The expansion is more than just additional square footage. It also represents a manufacturing philosophy from which our customers directly benefit:<\/p>\n
